Carman Elementary School is a K-6 School with approximately 310 students and a total staff of 40 (14 classroom teachers, music and physical education specialists, 1.0 resource teachers, 16 educational assistants, 2-1/2 time librarians, 2 custodians, 0.2 technology teacher, school secretary and 1.2 administrators). We offer multiple classes at each grade level with average class sizes of less than 25 students. Intramural activities, grade 3&4/5&6 choirs, a handbell choir, chess club and model car club are special features for students at CES. A private Nursery School operates out of our building offering programs for children ages 3 & 4 (Contact Wendy Bergen at 1-204-745-2501). Wee Care Child Centre also offers before and after school activities and superrvision in our school. Carman Elementary is part of Prairie Rose S.D. |
