The Collingwood
"The Collingwood" is a senior housing
development nestled on 3 acres of partially wooded land in the north-east
corner of Miami. There are 14 suites (bachelor, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom),
from 225 to 468 sq. ft. in size, with rents ranging from $225 to $500 per
month. There is a bright public lounge for activities and a dining room
for occasional meals. Laundry is free and hairdressing is available. The
outside area is completely paved around the T-shaped building and a 7 vehicle
carport is free for those who drive. There is a garden for those who desire
to test their green thumbs. The Collingwood facilities are managed by the
Miami Senior Citizens Housing Association, a non-profit organization.
